could you tell me where/how you ran the cable from the battery to the tub. what size cable to use and fuse. I have a copy of your cable chart. i will be connecting it to a redarc bcbd1240 and battery box from aussie batteries.November 16

I had a roll of 35mm2 flex welding cable sitting around which I used, it is the equivalent of 2 gauge.
I ran from the fuse box on top of the battery, down the wheel arch liner and onto the chassis. I sat in on top of the chassis rail and cable tied all the way down the passenger side. I then ran up tub behind the rear wheel. Here I bored out an existing hole and came through there with a rubber gland. I ran the same cable back down a new hole beside and ran a lug to an existing large bolt on the chassis for the neutral. Some people go all the way back to the battery, but I didn’t think it was required personally.
Although it’s a double insulated heat resistant cable, I still ran it for the full length in flexible conduit with rubber glands everywhere it penetrates the tub.
Once in the tub I lugged the cable and then just bolted on 4 gauge for running into the dcdc.
Can flick some photos of anything you aren’t sure on if required...

So you could safely use 6 gauge, if money isn’t an issue, I’d run 4 gauge. With that size cable you should be able to get a dual core and run the + and - back to you battery. (Better than a chassis earth like I use)
Install a 60a inline circuit breaker instead of a fuse as close to your main battery as possible on the positive, so it can easily be reset if it trips. This will protect the cable/starter battery against short circuit from damage and possibility of fire. You can also easily isolate the cable when wanting to work on it.
