From memory IPB defaults to require about 5 successful post replies before allowing new users to post new threads.

Ironically it's a bot prevention method but I doubt the bots are bothering with the site in it's current malware molested state..

Just back from a Darling River Run (bloody hot) and it seems a Xmas miracle has occurred and the forums are now working using Chrome with no malicious warnings.
Big thanks to all those that had a part in rectifying this issue.

Did this end up getting fixed or are we still waiting on a solution?

I think this whole thread should be moved to the JOKES section Steevo knows the answer but apparently/allegedly is not allowed access
This is partially the reason for the drop in usage , I have to log in , then tell the software it is not a deceptive site then tap in again to get to where I can read and or post
Very very user unfriendly
But have no fear someone is working on the issue bwaahaahaa

Agreed oz i can only imagine how annoyed many sponsors, supporting members and businesses on the forum are. As we are just turning away potential and current members to other pages.

In the meantime thank heavens for tapatalk i guess

Ok, so the current Vbulletin install (4.2.5) has been cleaned and is 100% malware free.
It may take a few days to report as clean with the various browsers/AV's, so please clear your cache/cookies for the site.

There is more good news happening, but that will be announced in another thread.

I have problems getting onto this site. My ISP Bigpond comes up with a message that the site is a security risk and will not let me proceed. Please fix the problems so I can enjoy the posts and excellent info on this forum.

Just came back on the forum after probably a year sabbatical and was surprised how quiet it is but given the issues I had getting in (as per this thread) I'm not surprised...

It's a real shame as ausamarok had become the go to for the Amarok.

Unfortunately unless the issue is fixed the forum will die which will be a massive shame given the wealth of knowledge and great community here..
